Welcome to Oregon-Davis Schools!

  • Dear students and families,

Welcome to March!  Let’s hope the weather breaks soon, and we can finally get some spring-like temperatures.

I would like to begin with a hearty congratulations to our Lady Cat basketball team.  Even though they experienced a tough defeat at Semi-State, we are still extremely proud of them.  Congratulations to this great group of young ladies!  You made us all very proud!  Also, we want to congratulate our swim team as well; every member of the team set a personal best during their Sectional meet.  Good job guys!  Please take a look at the Cat Connection for stories about all the events around school.

This month is filled with many happenings.  Please take note of these important dates:

Wednesday, March 4—7th grade English/Language Arts ISTEP test in the A.M.

Thursday, March 5—  8th grade English/Language Arts ISTEP test in the A.M.

    March 6-13—Make up testing

Friday, March 6—End of the 3rd grading period

Thursday, March 12—Report cards sent home

    March 23-27—Spring Break!

We would also like to take a moment to acknowledge our Students of the Month from February.  They are Justin Fields, Jared Gregor, Blake Hurford, Hunter McCoy, Dalton Miller.  Congratulations to these students for exhibiting Trust, Respect, and Responsibility.  Great job!  And we also want to recognize Mrs. Berg as our Staff Member of the Month.  She consistently goes out of her way to help our staff and students.  Thank you and great job!

We still continue to move forward to meet the needs of all our students.  And again, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.  We want to continue to partner with parents for student success.

"Through Trust, Respect, & Responsibility the staff, students, and parents will work cooperatively to create a learning environment for the success of all students."

  • Oregon-Davis Jr/Sr High School is looking toward the future with a vision of an evolving curriculum and an instructional model that will provide the best educational opportunities for our students. We strive to maintain an atmosphere that is student-centered and builds collegiality, student/teacher rapport, parent and community involvement. Oregon-Davis is fortunate to be a part of a community that displays a tremendous amount of pride in the people and programs that comprise our school. Maintaining and building upon this tradition of support is the backbone of “Bobcat Pride”.

We are a high school accredited by the Indiana Department of Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Our curriculum is comprehensive, including both vocational and college preparation that includes the opportunity for advanced placement and dual enrollment courses. Our average enrollment is 330, 7-12 with a teaching faculty of twenty-three making our teacher/student ratio 1:15. Recent renovations and updates to our facilities allow us to provide our teachers and students the optimal environment for teaching and learning within the "New Tech Concept" which began in the 2010-11 school year. Our technology department is developing and improving in order to meet the needs of our students in a changing society where accessing technology is a vital part of the education.  Our students 7-12 are 1:1 with an Apple Laptop which can be used in the development of the 21st Century students at Oregon-Davis.
  • The mission of the Oregon-Davis School Corporation is to provide quality learning opportunities for all students allowing each individual to reach their fullest potential by developing independent thinking, respect for self and others, positive attitudes, everyday living skills, and the motivation to achieve in the competitive world in which we live.  The school will provide these opportunities by educating the students to communicate effectively, gather and use information appropriately and accept responsibility for the decisions which are made in the ever-changing society.

"Through Trust, Respect, and Responsibility the staff, students, and parents will work cooperatively to create a learning environment for the success of all students."
