"Through Trust, Respect, & Responsibility the staff, students, and parents will work cooperatively to create a learning environment for the success of all students."

Welcome to Oregon-Davis Schools!

  • Dear students and families,

Welcome back!  I  hope everyone had an enjoyable summer.  It’s hard to believe it is over already.  But we are excited about what this new school year will bring.

The faculty and staff here are ready to get back to work and give our best in educating your children.  We are working on some new initiatives to address some of our needs in the building.  Everyone is excited about our new technology—junior high students all have iPads and the high schoolers have been assigned new iMac Air laptops.  Additionally, the junior high students will all share the same core teachers, creating a team approach to help create stronger relationships with students and better identify and address individual student needs.

A yearlong focus throughout the building will be the foundation of the New Tech philosophy: Trust, Respect, and Responsibility.  As a staff, we are looking to identify and celebrate students who exhibit these traits on a monthly basis.  We wish to celebrate our successes on a more consistent basis.  Keep an eye on the web site for further details.

We are excited to have several new members on our staff.  They are eager to become part of the Bobcat family.  Be sure to check out their biographies.  Our new members this year are:

    Bianca Ash—Special Education
    Eric Baierl—Special Education
    Amy Budka—Language Arts
Scot Hollenbaugh—Project Lead the Way/Industrial Technology
    Joel Johnston—Physical Education
    Ryan Julian—Social Studies
    John Phillips—Math
    Angela Radtke—Language Arts

In closing, we are here to provide the children of our community the best education we can.  We realize that parental support is vital to the success of educating children.  As such, we welcome your support in this endeavor.  And again, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get a hold of the school and/or your students’ teachers.  We look forward to a rewarding and successful school year!  GO BOBCATS!

"Through Trust, Respect, & Responsibility the staff, students, and parents will work cooperatively to create a learning environment for the success of all students."

  • Oregon-Davis Jr/Sr High School is looking toward the future with a vision of an evolving curriculum and an instructional model that will provide the best educational opportunities for our students. We strive to maintain an atmosphere that is student-centered and builds collegiality, student/teacher rapport, parent and community involvement. Oregon-Davis is fortunate to be a part of a community that displays a tremendous amount of pride in the people and programs that comprise our school. Maintaining and building upon this tradition of support is the backbone of “Bobcat Pride”.

We are a high school accredited by the Indiana Department of Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Our curriculum is comprehensive, including both vocational and college preparation that includes the opportunity for advanced placement and dual enrollment courses. Our average enrollment is 330, 7-12 with a teaching faculty of twenty-three making our teacher/student ratio 1:15. Recent renovations and updates to our facilities allow us to provide our teachers and students the optimal environment for teaching and learning within the "New Tech Concept" which began in the 2010-11 school year. Our technology department is developing and improving in order to meet the needs of our students in a changing society where accessing technology is a vital part of the education.  Our students 7-12 are 1:1 with an Apple Laptop which can be used in the development of the 21st Century students at Oregon-Davis.
