"Through Trust, Respect, & Responsibility the staff, students, and parents will work cooperatively to create a learning environment for the success of all students."

Welcome to Oregon-Davis Schools!

  • Dear students and families,

We finally made it to summer!  With decent weather comes many opportunities to spend time enjoying the outdoors, sharing time with friends and family, and taking some time to try and rest a little.  I hope all our Oregon-Davis families are finding the time away from school to be fun and productive in this regard.

However, school will be here before you know it.  Parents please take some time to encourage your children to read.  Engage in conversations about current events or things happening around home.  Try to sneak in a little math by having them estimate the time of arrival on the next family road trip.  These are little ways we can help keep children engaged in thinking and, maybe not so recognizable to them, learning during the summer months.

I sincerely hope everyone can enjoy the rest of the summer.  I know I will try, but there is a part of me that is eager to see all the smiling faces back at school in August.  I won’t jump the gun, though.

As usual, if there are any questions that may arise during the next several weeks, please feel free to get a hold of us.  If you need to leave a message, we will return your call as soon as possible.

"Through Trust, Respect, & Responsibility the staff, students, and parents will work cooperatively to create a learning environment for the success of all students."

    Mr. Tim Pletcher

  • Oregon-Davis Jr/Sr High School is looking toward the future with a vision of an evolving curriculum and an instructional model that will provide the best educational opportunities for our students. We strive to maintain an atmosphere that is student-centered and builds collegiality, student/teacher rapport, parent and community involvement. Oregon-Davis is fortunate to be a part of a community that displays a tremendous amount of pride in the people and programs that comprise our school. Maintaining and building upon this tradition of support is the backbone of “Bobcat Pride”.

We are a high school accredited by the Indiana Department of Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Our curriculum is comprehensive, including both vocational and college preparation that includes the opportunity for advanced placement and dual enrollment courses. Our average enrollment is 330, 7-12 with a teaching faculty of twenty-three making our teacher/student ratio 1:15. Recent renovations and updates to our facilities allow us to provide our teachers and students the optimal environment for teaching and learning within the "New Tech Concept" which began in the 2010-11 school year. Our technology department is developing and improving in order to meet the needs of our students in a changing society where accessing technology is a vital part of the education.  Our students 7-12 are 1:1 with an Apple Laptop which can be used in the development of the 21st Century students at Oregon-Davis.
